MAPS — Medical Accidents Prevention Society — registered under Societies Act, is a sister organisation of the QPMPA formed in 1994 to protect the public from avoidable medical accidents and to restore the confidence of the doctors to treat their patients without fear or fright in the wake of the Consumer Protection Act becoming applicable to them.

Type A M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Degree Holders

Type II Having I. P. Beds up to 10 Rs. 1,500 Rs. 4,000 + Rs. 1,000
per Speciality.
Type III Having I. P. Beds between 11–50 Rs. 1,500 Rs. 4,000 + Rs. 1,000
per Speciality + Rs. 300
per I. P. Bed in excess of 10.
Type IV Having I. P. Beds between 51–100 Rs. 1,500 Rs. 16,000 + Rs. 1,000
per Speciality + Rs. 200
per I. P. Bed in excess of 50.
Type V Having I. P. Beds above 100 Rs. 1,500 Rs. 26,000 + Rs. 1,000
per Speciality + Rs. 100 per I. P. Bed from 101–200 + Rs. 50 per bed above 200.

Specialities consists:

General Practice, Anaesthesiology, Radiology (including C.T. Scan, Ultra Sound, X-Ray, etc.), Clinical Lab (including Histopathology), apart from Medical/Surgical/Dental Specialities & Super Specialities, etc.

Rebate:

Members who had no occasion to claim financial assistance from maps for five consecutive years will be eligible for 25% reduction in Annual subscription from the 6th year onwards, and a reduction of 50% in Annual Subscription when such period exceeds Ten years.

Institutional Membership in Maps provides comprehensive protection to all
Doctors and Staff working in the institution.
